Reimagining the Behavioral Health System in DC
Part 3: Addressing alcohol and drug use through treatment - and beyond

Please join The DC Health Matters Collaborative for our fall webinar series on "Reimagining the Behavioral Health System in DC." In this three part series, we will be discussing behavioral health care for children and families in schools and the community; responding to behavioral health crises through a trauma-informed lens; and addressing alcohol and drug use through treatment - and beyond. Presenters will highlight provider experiences, share stories, identify barriers, and propose policy solutions. Together, we will consider how racial justice, health equity, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care are central to building a better behavioral health system.

Learning Objectives
1. Learn about select behavioral health services and resources that are available residents in the District.
2. Understand the experiences and challenges of providers and their patients in delivering and accessing services.
3. Explore potential policy solutions and recommendations, such as budget resources and legislation, to improve behavioral health.
